My recent stay at the Joiners Arms in Northumberland was a delightful escape, blending rustic charm with comfort. Nestled in the heart of Newton-by-the-Sea, the inn offers beautifully designed rooms that exemplify the luxe of a five-star establishment, all while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the culinary experience; the king prawns and the seasonal breakfast choices using local produce were exceptional, bringing a taste of the region into every bite. As a history teacher, I appreciate the inviting old-world vibe of the pub, where exposed brickwork and eclectic decor create a cozy yet sophisticated setting for both relaxation and dining. Our visit was particularly dampened by the absence of managerial presence during check-out, despite the overall excellent service from the team.
